Nick’s path into investigations began with the Houston Police Department Vice Division, where he supported undercover sting operations that required adaptability, quick thinking, and the ability to read people in high-pressure situations. He later expanded his expertise through national competitions in professional sales, global business, and marketing strategy, experience that sharpened his skills in communication, ethical decision-making, and strategic planning.

More recently, Nick assisted the Harris County Precinct 1 Constable’s Special Investigations Department, providing report writing and presentation support on cases including a multimillion-dollar oil theft.

With over two decades of military intelligence and counterintelligence experience, Devin serves as the Owner and Lead Investigator of ThirteenAlpha, where he provides specialized threat and vulnerability assessments for business and residential clients. His extensive background in human and technical intelligence allows him to approach every case with precision, discretion, and a deep understanding of complex threat environments.

As a retired U.S. Navy Counterintelligence Agent, Devin has conducted high-level threat and vulnerability assessments, surveillance operations, and human intelligence (HUMINT) debriefings across multiple operational theaters. His expertise spans the full intelligence cycle—collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to identify vulnerabilities, mitigate risk, and safeguard personnel and assets.

His career began with the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department, where he served as a Corrections Officer, gaining firsthand experience in high-pressure environments that demand discipline, discretion, and decisive action.

Jeff is TCOLE-trained in verbal and physical conflict resolution, investigative procedures, evidence searches, and frisking techniques. His experience in law enforcement is complemented by a strong foundation in cybersecurity, with a Google Cybersecurity Certification and practical skills in OSINT, red team hacking, and digital threat mitigation.

Now fully licensed as an Armed Personal Protection Officer (Level IV) and Armed Private Investigator, Jeff is equipped to take on high-stakes protective and investigative assignments with professionalism and tactical precision. He brings extensive firearms proficiency across all calibers, along with advanced training in mixed martial arts and hand-to-hand combat—making him a versatile resource in both the field and the courtroom.
